# Delete Your Account — GO AI Chat

## 1. Who This Page Is For

This page explains how to delete your GO AI Chat account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to the GO AI Chat app by GO AI Chat LLC on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. How we collect and use data is described in the [GO AI privacy policy](https://goaichat.app/privacy); this page covers deletion only.

## 2. Delete Your Account From the App

1. Open GO AI Chat and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to **Settings → Account**.
3. Tap **Delete account**.
4. Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted immediately.

Deletion cannot be undone. If you use GO AI Chat on more than one device, the account is removed from all of them.

## 3. Request Deletion by Email

If you have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in, email us instead:

- Send an email to [support@goaichats.com](mailto:support@goaichats.com?subject=Delete%20my%20GO%20AI%20Chat%20account) from the email address you used to sign in.
- Subject: **Delete my GO AI Chat account**.
- We reply to that address to confirm the request came from you.
- We complete the deletion within **30 days** of confirming and email you when it is done.

We cannot act on a request sent from a different address, because we have no other way to verify that the account is yours.

## 4. What Is Deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes from our servers:

- Your account profile and email address.
- Your sign-in identity, including Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in links.
- Every chat and every message in it.
- Message ratings and feedback you submitted.
- Custom prompts you saved to the Prompt Library.
- Your generation history.
- Push-notification tokens and device-to-account mappings.
- Token balances, usage counters and the subscription status we store.

## 5. What Is Kept, and for How Long

- **Purchase and subscription records** — kept by Apple, Google Play and our subscription provider (Apphud) for as long as tax, accounting and fraud-prevention law requires, up to **7 years**. They identify a transaction, not your chats.
- **Anonymised analytics** — aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
- **Backups** — encrypted backups of our database may hold a copy of your data for up to **30 days** after deletion, after which it is purged.
- **AI providers** — prompts already sent to the AI model providers that answered them are held under those providers' own retention terms, listed in the privacy policy. They are not linked to your GO AI Chat account.

## 6. Subscriptions

Deleting your account does **not** cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so cancel first:

- **App Store:** Settings → your name → Subscriptions → GO AI Chat → Cancel. ([Apple's steps](https://support.apple.com/en-us/118428))
- **Google Play:** Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GO AI Chat → Cancel. ([Google's steps](https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481))

An account deleted while a subscription is still active keeps being billed until the subscription is cancelled.

## 7. Delete Only Your Chats

To keep your account but remove your conversations, use **Settings → Clear all chats** in the app. That deletes every chat and message from our servers and your devices, and leaves your account, subscription and settings in place.
